I agree that it makes sense to continue using the Z06 moniker vs Z07, as its more well known if for no other reason. However ... there would be a certain charm in a 7L C7 Z07. If they ditch the 7L engine though, for maybe a new 396 or 402 (6.5L-6.6L) or something -still naturally aspirated, then keep the Z06 moniker. If they go forced induction, drop the name as it would no longer fit the spirit of the car IMO.
