Yes I'm knocking Ford for once. They were on top for along damn time. The ZL1 and 1LE wouldn't have happened if sales weren't made IMO. Not that you don't have something if a point, Ford did focus in straight line performance over road course performance, but don't the GT500 and ZL1 pretty much split wins 50/50 in most road comparisons? Whereas ZL1 definitely under performs in the 1/4, when using GT500 as a reference point. So one could argue that GT500 is a more rounded performer.
But I digress, this thread needs not be overly derailed by a discussion that we've all had too many times. This thread is about the next gen.
And this new SVT car, I see being a car more apt to play in the realm of Z/28 and perhaps even Z51 rather than ZL1 like the OP stated.
