well yes obviously. you have to be a smart owner in order to get the best out of your car. but facts are facts. there are 2 guys at work with forresters. one is a 2005 with 279,000 miles on it and no major repair. the other is a 1998 with 400,000 MILES ON IT and no major repair.

they have a good reputation for a reason.

that being said, im with you, i believe new cars these days can last a very long time. even my 2007 mustang is projected to last 200,000 miles. back in the day mustangs didnt last long at all!
