Yeah. My dad and I are fixing up my grandpa's old 82 maxim 650 as a father/son project. Not the best bike on the planet but they're notoriously reliable. Its like a classic sport bike that they threw cruiser styling onto. Going to make it into a prostreet/short chop.
Not the fastest bikes around but they're decent for what they are. Breaks into the 12s with no problems (about 12.7 or 12.8 stock) and I'm shooting for the low 12s once I'm done with it.
Drag pipes, K&N filter, aggressive jetting, weight reduction (from the chopping process) and some Avon Venom X tires.
