No, and i'm not going to list what town I was in, or what highway I was on. I will say the impala I had was egged on, and raced by a NYS trooper on a major highway YEARS ago, and afterwards he motioned to pull over so he could check out the car, saying he missed the caprice units they had, and preferrred them over the crown vic's. (the impala walked the crown vic) I only mention that one as the officer i'm sure has retired by this time, and is not at any risk of being in any trouble. You shouldn't assume things like people live in a hick town because a LEO eggs on a civilian car to race or play at all. You'd be VERY surprised to see how many officers are actual car guys too, and that doesn't matter what town they may be in, and in my life time, i've raced 2 state troopers, 1 deputy, 1 local officer (once in his own car, and once in a patrol car), and was not only asked to, but made fun of UNTIL I did two burnouts going through two reg/inspection sticker check points, one was in syracuse, and that's far from a hick town!. That conversation was hysterical. Officer told me that my car sounded nice and looked nice. (very radical cam). While talking to him, he noticed the exhaust smell (race gas). He made comment of my car not having a front plate (required by NYS V + T law), then made comment that it sure does sound nice, but does it have any yank to her? I said yup.. he then made comment that it sure would be impressive to see if I could get rubber out of it in 3 gears, I told him it could smoke em through 3, and chirp em in 4th, he said prove it. I laughed and told him yeah right, so I can go to jail? and he said no, you have our word, we'll let you go.. so I did. The look on the faces of people pulled over getting citations for expired inspections, expired reg's as I was launching was something I will never forget!
