But the school doesn't provide a wireless network for you right? If they do its very simple to create a bridge from the wireless NIC to the wired NIC. If you only have the one cable and need to use the laptop as a middle man and are not allowed a switch or router then it might not be possible because any form of splitter will create a bunch of packet loss
