How are you connecting your laptop to the Internet? Wired or Wireless? Why can't you just connect your PS3 to the same connection that your laptop is using instead of trying to share your network connection from your laptop? Are you just sharing your connection to share files between your laptop and PS3 or for both file sharing and Internet access?
I'm just a little confused on what you're trying to do.
