Any suggestions for shooting cars in garages and with single strobes and such?
Great to have you aboard then!!

Well, I am usually shooting one of two ways when there are vehicles involved.

Option 1: Flash unit (I use a Nikon SB700) on camera in hotshoe position.

Option 2: Tripod with longer shutter speeds.

There are certain situations when I use off camera flash (light stands and umbrellas kind of setup), but most of the time the two above will work just fine.

I usually stay in the 600-800ISO range, try to keep your f-stops as low as you can while keeping everything in focus, don't go below 160 on your shutter speed or hand shake will become a problem!
