I spoke to the manufacturer at the Monterey Motorsports Reunion recently, they told me that the rubber in this tire, (a different tire than on your C6), lacks good performance at below 50 Deg. F. ... *It gets plenty cold here... Like 7 Deg. through 20 Deg. Many mornings.
Yes you can drive on them, just don't depend on them to perform as they should if called to perform an evasive maneuver, or stop as they would when warm.
