According to a couple different gaming sites, Sony is planning on announcing a VR headset peripheral for the PS4 at the Toyko Game Show later this month and is slated to hit store shelves next year. There is suppose to be a VR version of Driveclub currently in internal testing.
Hardware wise, this new VR peripheral will be similar to Oculus Rift which is an amazing piece of hardware.

My cousin was showing me something but think is was for the pc, I don't know what it was called but when the guy looked left in the helmet the screen turned left not the characters body
Also looked like goggles on the screen, is that what you referred to?
