I can see both ways. My future wife is my best friend, but I figured it was obvious that I meant 'in addition to.' Honestly, I am just afraid that these types of things will escalate and continue to drive a wedge between my friends an I. I don't mind sacrificing for my partner as she is the most important, but I don't want to tell my friend not to come just because of her gender. Sexism and gender stereotyping IMO.
Of course, good chance I will just give in. I just don't particularly want to get into a 'give an inch, take a mile' type scenario.
I am sure this is the right woman for me and she is normally super chill... This is just turning into more than I want it to be.
