I have no respect for dishonest or hypocritical people, and that was straight bull. Maybe next time, you'll let the mustang off if the driver slips you a $20? Illegal is the same no matter if its a bribe or just favoritism. Way to go zzz28zzz, you a perfect example of the cops who give them all a bad name.

One thing that I really have to add is that you are making the assumption that the Camaro was let off only because he was driving a Camaro. I re-read zzz28zzz's post and didn't see that he said he let him off only because he was driving a 2010 Camaro. He just said he got a warning.
There are factors that play into writing people tickets. It is NOT ILLEGAL TO WRITE SOME PEOPLE TICKETS AND LET OTHERS GO. It is called "officer discression." This is actually something that is given to officers. We are NOT required to write everyone we see who violates a traffic law. I mean...we would never get anywhere on the roads if we did. Our cities would become filthy rich, all people would HATE local and state police, and government could have some serious issues.
I AM NOT saying what he did was right or wrong. I am not saying I am for or against what he did. I AM saying that we are allowed discression and he let one go. Maybe the guys in the stang and mitsu were both complete jerks and were disrespectful to the officer....I mean....just maybe....
Again, I'm not continuing an argument...only shedding light on some facts about officer discression. Some like it (the guy in the Camaro) and some don't.
