I dont see whats so surprising...I mean people who join car clubs tend to gravitate to the clubs who like the same things they like.
If a club who likes a car to be chromed over as a rule, they obviously would grade with that tendency.
If I like brunette in particular, and you get two women that are pretty much tricked out, but one is blond and one is blond...I'd pick the brunette as thats the style I like.
If you've noticed this in every club sponsored show, then just dont enter any more club sponsored show's.
