I highly doubt that the Cobra in this story is an 8-sec car, but you never know. Maybe you can talk him into a race for bragging rights only. The pressure is all on him.

Multiple magazine and video reviews of the 1LE have been VERY positive reviews and it DOES outrun MUCH more expensive and lighter cars with more HP. Most noteably @ Laguna Seca and VIR.
As far as the 2nd bolded inquiry.....
I have a buddy with a 700+WHP 03 Cobra(terminator) on meth that I've raced many times. I've also helped him work on his car a couple times and ridden in it a few times as well. I KNOW what those cars are capable of.
Once I did my cam...it's basically a drivers race.
