Hmm... I dunno if you drove a GT then. They usually run low 13s out of the box and respond well to a tune and easy bolt ons. My GT with the 6.0L and the AFM still installed could get close to 30 mpg highway. It now has a cammed 6.2 motor out of a GXP with milled and ported heads and all the other bolt-ons. I get about 27 mpg highway. City is about 15-16.

Note, the G8 only weighs 50-100lbs more than a V8 Camaro.

Check out the G8 board, there is people usually trying to sell a car or two on there.
