1) Was MPG really bad? 15/24 is kinda frightening.
2) Performance ok for you? Did you use premium to get rid of KR? I guessed this is why the G8 was sluggish.
3) Were you bored with it? What mods you did that helped that out?
I know there is a G8 forum but I prefer to hear from G8 owners here to get more unbiased opinions.

I'm not a G8 owner but my tuner had a G8GT with a supercharger. He loved it. You could find a good condition '09 G8GT for mid-twenties. The supercharger would definitely wake the car up...
