Hopefully they keep it simple (no hybrid awd mess like the NSX) and can keep it under $100k
A re-worked GT86/FRS chassis with a low mounted and set back Boxer 6 and a set of VGT turbos's maybe compounded sounds like it would be a hit just as long as it had enough rubber and electronics to keep them on the road.
This seems like a good way to keep costs low as they already have the GT86 Chassis to enlarge and mod, a boxer 4 that already fits so what's two more cylinders and a 2 turbos if you're reworking the chassis and don't have a body yet. Porsche has been doing great things with their turbo boxer 6's for decades now so I feel like it would be right at home in a modified GT-86 platform. Maybe have the electronics only spool the big turbo when the driver requests the additional power because Carlos Lagos was quickly overwhelmed by all the extra power the Crawford BRZ had. He said it was too much.
