I am a resident of Warren, MI (Metro Detroit) and this is my third go around with Camaro ownership. My husband is a master mechanic who always has a project or two in the garage (at this time, it's an 85 GTA with a 468 BBC and a 79 Datsun Z280 with a 355 SBC, although neither are roadworthy yet).

It started with an 88 IROC-Z28. The above mentioned 355 was in that car, which was a 5 speed, and I had a lot of fun driving it - when it was running. It was a tempermental biotch, and eventually I had sunk way too much money into it. We parted it out, keeping the choice bits, and I bought a 2011 Camaro LS, quadruple black. It was a head turner, and I enjoyed it, but after almost 2 years, it wasn't enough car for me. I traded it in about a month ago for a victory red 2011 SS/RS, which I have fallen quite in love with.

This week marks the beginning of the mods. Tomorrow she goes in for tint, and I haven't decided if I want to go 5% or 15% yet... After that, I am getting the stock wheels powder coated gloss black, upgrading the spoiler, adding a black stripe to the cowl and customizing my badges.

I was on www.moderncamaro.com before, and I didn't particularly like the community over there ... there are a few people who rubbed me the wrong way, so I'm trying my luck here at Camaro5 and hoping to fit in better!
