Well, its nice to see this post and read replies that liked the G8. It is a great car. My first new car and I have no regrets and no problems (March 08). When GM builds this new vehicle, they need a performance model. That's what won me over: power and practicality.
I've always been a fbody guy as I had a modded 96 z28 for years. Now that I've enjoyed the extra room and the performance, I really don't feel right in a coupe anymore. I still would love to have another Camaro, but if I bought one, it would add to my G8 and not replace it.
So GM, this is good news. The Commodore has a great formula, dont ruin it. Please, please let the public know about it. You screwed the G8 over by not advertising it enough. Only enthusiasts like me knew about it before it even took the boat ride over here! If GM keeps it close to the Commodore's formula and mainstream the advertising, it will be a success.
To this day, I answer many questions about the G8 to people who see it in public. Not one person has ever disliked it (and I asked twice for a honest opinion). ADVERTISE GM!!!
