thats part of the way things are. I was talking with another member from here a little while ago about a similar situation. where this forum has grown "old" so to speak. where a lot of our valuable info is posted and buried under numerous new threads. the mods have been doing a lot to merge subsequent threads, but when you get 978 people that all start their own thread asking the same question, its hard to filter thru to find the info you need. I recently did a search... for something I posted a while ago and I had to look thru 18 different threads (some of which had over 20 pages...with 40 posts per page) and finally found what I was looking for. wasnt easy, but I found it. however, with the search criteria I put in with the advanced search, I still had to go thru over half of the threads that only had about 5 posts (mostly linking them to another thread). but one of the things ive noticed is that we are on the way to becoming another forum that if you dont already know the answer before you ask or arent well known, you aren't going to get much help. and I dont want that to happen. I've been here nearly since the site was started and have seen it evolve from its young beginnings to what it is today. we have an interesting mix of people here, most of them are great to deal with and discuss things with. then we have others that havent even been here more than a year and think they can badmouth other members because of their post count or join date. then theres some who joined very recently and seem like they are just looking for trouble. but if you have people on here calling you a troll, let me know. I'll take care of them.
