600's are good starting bikes, and GSXR's are easy to find, especially parts since squids are always wrecking them. Just take it easy and respect the bike and you'll do fine on a 600. Don't buy new if it's your first time. But if you do, Kawasaki has the best deals right now (just in my area anyways)

99% of my motorist friends have said the same thing -- that I will get bored with the 300 very quickly. I might look into getting a used 600. I just don't want to kill myself on the bike if it has too much power. :-P
