Sounds like you got outta town just in the nick of time. Last night we had round 2 with nasty electrical storms, high winds (69 mph was gauged at McCarran), hail, downpours and flash flooding.
Where I live, we had moderate rain, lightning and thunder and some nasty gusts but the worst skirted my neighborhood. Then, out of the blue, shortly after 10 when everything was quiet, without warning, there was the loudest BOOOOOM I've ever heard in my life. The cats went flying and car alarms went off about a half mile in every direction. I stuck my head outside the air was completely still, heavy from the earlier rain; there was no wind, thunder or lightning; the lights in the house didn't even flicker. I don't know if a transformer took a hit or what. Just freaky.
Supposedly, we're in for round 3 tonight.
Jeanette, Congrats on your win!
Hope everyone has a great day.
