Agreed, you'll get bored with that 300 real quick.
600's are good starting bikes, and GSXR's are easy to find, especially parts since squids are always wrecking them. Just take it easy and respect the bike and you'll do fine on a 600. Don't buy new if it's your first time. But if you do, Kawasaki has the best deals right now (just in my area anyways)
