I'm not sure if you went through the initial order process on your Camaro, but the order system was allowing orders to go in when the options were not available and when they caught the issue (sometimes a few days later) they expected you to either drop it off your order or give up the spot. The High Wing and the painted engine cover are two that come to mind, because I had to drop them off my order.
