The problem with the GMT-325s was there really wasn't a reason to buy them. For a bit more you could just step up to a GMT-900. With the next-gen midsize trucks, there has to be legitimate incentives to buy one, whether it be fuel economy, a diesel powertrain, off-road models, etc.
Agreed. Same thing happened with the Dakota, everything was smaller than the Ram, except the price and there was no fuel economy benefit or otherwise. I do have a softspot for the 5.3 V8 Colorado/Canyon and the 2008+ Dakota with the upgraded 302 HP 4.7. It always aggravated me that not one publication compared these 2, would have made an interesting read, though I guess this was a sign of how inconsequential they had become in the automotive landscape.
