Pricing seems a bit cheap to me.. In this vehicle U will be able to out-drive the LS460 with more torque and power. The luxurious amenities in it are to die for already.. the 2014 XTS models gets quite a few upgrades in the interior as well. At $63K this still comes in at $9K less than that Toyota LOAFER. Of course it gets a pass because it's RWD based... Of course the people that bitch about the XTS being FWD based are the exact people that can't buy the car anyway.. not new at least, and have more than likely not spent anytime in one and certainly not driving one.
Personally.. I could see this as a great alternative to the CTS-VSport if I wanted a larger car with a back-seat U could live in. My biggest complaint is that I really don't see why they needed to call it "V-Sport" just to mimic BMW's "M-Sport" or Lexus "F-Sport." They should have made it simply a STANDARD engine on the Platinum and a optional one on the Premium.. raising the Platinum price by $3K and making the option a $4K option on the Premium
Some will cry about brand dilution or "what's the point of the... " well.. to them I have to point at the new direction of the Benz, Audi, and BMW brands. I would ask if Cadillac can't have a two prong approach to larger Luxo Sedans then why are those aforementioned brands getting a pass with the 5series and 6series Grand..; or the E-Class, and CLS... ; how about the A6 and A7? The rules always seem different for GM.
