Hart Memorial Trophy

Ok, Ovechkin won it

So, that's out of the way

I am so sick of reading how the Hart is for league MVP. From people paid to "know" hockey to the AP, it's 'league MVP', 'NHL's 2013 MVP', etc

It's not. The Ted Lindsay is for 'most outstanding' player, the Hart is for the player judged most valuable to his team in the regular season, not the league

This makes it a harder trophy to earn if you're on a team with a bunch of good players, and makes it hard to earn if you're a good player on a bad team. It's not for the best player in the league. It's for the player that has made the biggest difference for his team, in the league. They can be the same guy, and that's OK, but it's not the same thing!

PS

GO BRUINS
