I cant even imagine how boring that would be.

Contrary to what you think, not everyone enjoys playing online sessions with multiple people. I do not like FPS's or MMORPGs. I prefer playing the story lines of single player games. The few games I play online are sports games and the occasional co-op. I like being able to play when I want just by turning on the system and not by being required to connect to the internet. The few party games that I have (Guitar Hero etc) I like to play in the actual company of other people and my friends and I enjoy being able to take a game to someone else's house and in a big group or rotating out players for top scores. No internet required.

I can give an example, and I live in a fairly populated state, my internet disconnected itself for approximately 50% of Assassin's Creed 3 and 75% of Darksiders II.
In fact, my internet was down for multiple days on end while finishing AC3. Had this been tried with the XB1 I wouldn't have been able to finish the game. On a system I paid $500 for on a game that cost me $60.
People don't see a problem with that?
And before you say "get another internet provider"; where I live its either Comcast or Satellite that has lower speeds and even shoddier connection speed. Fios isn't available here and isn't expected to be here for at least another 5 years.
