I've got an '06 Ram 1500, 52k miles. I've been very happy with it until recently. Overall, it seems like they're cheaper to buy but more expensive to maintain. For example, they have copper tipped plugs that are supposed to be changed every 30k miles whereas most run much longer. I had to put $2000 into it last year for bearings and hubs, tie-rod ends, fluids, and a other odds/ends. I don't offroad or plow so I was surprised the front end wasn't more durable. Now, I'm looking at another $1-2k to pull the dash to replace parts of the vent system. I've had friends with F150s and Silverados, they've had their share of problems too but I don't remember them complaining about the sme series of spendy repairs like I'm seeing now.
