I had an 04 GTO before my Camaro and I loved it... I would have kept it had it been a manual. The 04 had the LS1, but it was still a lot of fun and very comfortable! I'd love to get another GTO, but it will be an 05/06 this time. That seems like a pretty decent price, and the miles are just ok, but I guess you have to realize that it is 7 years old so it's probably about avg now... There is quite a bit of aftermarket parts available for them. Body parts, and interior parts may be a bit of a problem down the road, but I'm sure someone will come up with something by then.

My 04 Ls1 Auto would get about 25mph hwy, and about 17 in town.

You'll want to ask how many keys it has, and has been though... The keys are sealed and you can't replace the battery in the fob very easily (without destroying it) and IIRC the BCM can only learn 5 keys, but can't forget old ones, so once you hit 5, and need another the BCM will have to be replaced. *I THINK* I may be wrong though, that's just what I remember... I was looking into having easy to take apart CNC aluminum key fob bodies made to the battery could easily be changed and you'd never have to worry about the BCM problem, but lost interest in it.

A lot of people get "mad" about it being named a GTO, but just over look the name. It's a nice, fun, comfortable car.
