Always listen to Dave Ramsey (well, most of the time, anyway).
IMO, it really isn't worth trading up to just a newer model year of what is mostly the same truck. Something newer will always come out in a year or two, which is why last year's models are discounted so heavily. I'd never trade up to the last year of an aged, outgoing model, particularly if I already had one of the same model, just to get a few options I didn't check the first time.
Ask yourself if those extras would be worth it to you if they were combined a $6120 option on the sticker, because that ($170*36mo) is essentially what you would be doing. (And I suspect given 3 model years difference on top of an extra list of options, the difference you would be looking at after trade-in would be more.) Answer that question, and that should be your decision.
