A couple days later the transmission starts acting up.... wont go into gear and reverse is gone. the truck only came with a 1 month warrenty ( it has 241K on it... but its a 7.3). They told me take it to there transmission guy and have it fixed (the warrenty was a 50/50) I ended up paying 1200 out of pocket for a new tranny. get her home and she still doing the same thing!
I call the dealer and tell them to come get it cause Im not driving it anywhere..... they come tow it back to the transmission shop and a week later they call me and say its fixed. I just want them to keep the damn thing and give me my money back. this whole situation has been a nightmare!!
That's what everyone says, "oh it has 241k on it but it has the 7.3! Its just getting broken in!" Sure, the 7.3 is an amazing engine and can take a lot of abuse and last a long time, however that's just the engine. The rest of the drive train and truck still have 241k miles on it. Things wear out. Things break. Especially with 241k miles on it. Just because it drove fine during your test drive didn't mean things weren't going to break down the road. You knew it only had a 1 month warranty before you signed the paper work. Sounds like you want to hold the dealer responsible because you didn't think about the big picture because you know, it has a 7.3 with only 241k miles.
