Except Holden and Ford, particularly with Commodore and Falcon, are like Chevrolet and Ford with pickups here in the US. Nobody really switches over.
Probably what will happen is that Ford will introduce the Taurus into the Australian market to replace the Falcon. There will be a split in the Ford crowd over those who want a RWD full size sedan and those who want to stay with the brand.
