The "weighted average" is correct...but for every car that AVERAGES less than 30, you have to sell one that AVERAGES OVER 40...and how many of those arrows are in GM's quiver? In what volumes? How many even get 40 hwy?

You hit the nail on the head. The way GM supports cars like the Camaro is because for every one they sale there are 10-12 Cruze sales. When you factor in the Sparks and Sonics you can see how they can support trucks and performance cars now. The question is how will they do that in the future when they will need sale a lot of 60+ MPG cars to balance out the trucks and Camaros. Fortunately they are banking lots of credits now, so they will have some wiggle room.
