But like stated, that's under the assumption 4GB will be dedicated to the OS, the other 4GB to gaming. Which is all just a numbers game and probably won't mean much as games are optimized for either console. Even though the PS4 might have more RAM available for gaming, I think the main advantage the PS4 will have over the Xbox is the fact it's going to be using GDDR5 versus the Xbox's DDR3.
