No depending on the internet, no depending on if the cloud service is busy or potentially shut down for maintenance, no worrying about if I want to play my game 5 years from now and the company decided to close the servers. Just me, my game, and my warm console. Is that too much to ask?

I understand where you're coming from, what EA did to SimCity was terrible. I don't think Microsoft will do the same. I probably wouldn't worry about it too much.
