I would say either a fitment problem, cost or just the idea of trying to keep a muscle car feel and sound.

Well, supposedly Chrysler/Fiat are going to build some Jeeps in the same factory the Yugo rolled out of. (Remember, the Yugo was based on a Fiat).

History always repeats itself. It will most likely happen in a similar manner as the 70s...basically the frog in boiling water metaphor. Horsepower numbers will slowly fall every year, until one day we take a serious, analytical look at the cars around us, and we realize that its the mid-70s, and somewhere along the line, everything available has become $h!t.

I dread this day ,but I would have to agree that we are heading back to the 70's and even worse 80's. I wanted to hang myself in the 80's over the crap that was being built.
