I'm a firm believer in some sort of progressive resistance. I always try to add a little more weight or do a few more reps, even if in very small increments. That's how you grow/get stronger. If you always do for example, squats with 225 lbs and 6 reps you will only be able to do 6 reps @ 225 lbs. Always add something. Another thing is attack your muscles in different ways, for example you can do curls, hammer curls, wide grip, narrow grip etc. this way you incorporate more muscle fibre which will also add growth and strength.
