Alright guys. I drove out to see the car again with my dad today. Needless to say, we're in love with this car.
I crawled under the car to see if I could see any numbers, but couldn't finagle my way to see the top of the frame due to the car being so low.
We're going to call the DMV first thing tomorrow to see what they can do.

Thanks. I just texted my dad telling him to call the seller and tell him to look in these spots. Fingers crossed.
If we end up getting this vin problem straightened out, I'm taking everyone who helped out to eat one day.
