I'm new here, but figured I'd add my $0.02

I'm a "young lady" (never been called a "chick" or a "babe" before though) and I love cars to death. Muscle cars and supercars in particular. I grew up with models and diecast cars because of my little brother and ended up finding them more fascinating than anything else at the time. Now that I've got my own set of wheels (he's no muscle car, but I don't really mind) and a nice camera, I've been making it a habit of going to any car shows I can fit into my busy schedule. In the past two years I've been gradually learning the mechanics of cars, but I'm more about the look and the sound of a car.
Now, if I happen to spot a really nice car on the road or in a parking lot, I will go over and take a pic and admire it if I can. It's more fun though if the car owner is around (or driving) and can show a little preview of what their car can do

I've been at more stoplights with an overeager "must show off my ride!" male (of any age) who floors it when the light goes green and I'll either try to match just for the fun of it (ok, my Jeep only has so much get-up-and-go...) or just chill and enjoy the sound. A few of my female friends also love a well-tuned engine, so long as the car doesn't sound obnoxious. And the faster the ride, the better. As for guys and cars, if he's a nice guy and has a fun car, it's just a nice perk. It's only sometimes easy to determine the personality of the guy based on what he drives. Sometimes it might surprise you.
Back to the Camaro topic though, there's two types of cars I'd kill (figuratively) to own: a Camaro or a Shelby Mustang (mortal enemies, I know). In particular, I'm a big fan of the Z28's and SS Camaros, specifically the classic first gen's and the new 2010. As for the Shelby, an AC Cobra or a '67 Shelby Mustang GT 500 will do!
In summary, Camaros rock and yes, girls/women/"chicks"/whatever you want to call us DO like the car for one reason or another

Sadly it hasn't enabled me to get a ride in any Camaro ever though... I can keep dreaming. And if a guy has to trick out his car just to get female attention, clearly there's something wrong...
