I could name off a whole list of V8 powered cars that are worlds better than the '94-'96 Impala SS. It's regarded as a collector's car because it was actually an exciting car in an otherwise boring time in the automotive industry. And it's like the CTS-V Sportwagon. The reason it was built was because GM pretty much said, "Why not?" As we all know GM doesn't do that that often.
