i respectfully disagree. if the Mustang had not sold so well and proven there was still a large pony car market, GM would have never considered bringing the maro back. and actually, in my opinion, the 5th gen has much more retro styling than the Mustang. it is basically a modern day exact retro duplicate of the '69. the Mustang does have retro styling ques but from many different generations, including the '99-'04s. just look at the tail lights.
