It was the year I started work here at the University. Also the same year my ex-girlfriend was killed in a car accident by a drunk driver.
Some were worried about Y2k, but then I remembered how I encountered a computer set to 2016 and such in 1993 and it worked fine.
I was driving my moms old 1989 Toyota Corolla Alltrac wagon. That is what I learned to drive stick on.
I could easily post up a picture of me in 1999.
