They gave Palmer away and lost their 2nd rounder this year and are loosing 2 more picks over the next 2 seasons for Flynn.

Either Pryor or Flynn should be able to manage the game well enough to get by until they can get the rest of the pieces put in place. That $50M in free cap space next year is going to help a lot.

I think this year is going to be a learning year for KC. Too many new pieces in place to get the division this year. Next year is going to be interesting. Plus this Brandon Albert thing isn't helping their cause.

I'm not a Reid fan, and Alex Smith should be an upgrade over sandcastle, but just barely. He has been to up and down since he has been in the league and is trying to learn yet another new system. If either team makes it to 6 wins this year, I wouldn't call it a lost season.
Why is everyone down on Smith? when they benched him he had won 24 of the last 26 games for the 49ers, and would of won the superbowl if the return guy hadn't done back to back boneheaded fumbles single handedly allowing the giants to stumble into the superbowl.

Hes broken several team records, makes almost no turnovers. Whats a guy have to do to get respect? So he wasn't a powerhouse out of the gate...it took Brady what? 4 years to get his stride? Farve wasn't exactly awesome from the get go... there's been multiple QB's who have had rocky starts.

I'm not trying to defend him specifically, and I'm not saying hes a Montana, just saying I don't understand why there so much hate, when hes done nothing but win game after game after game.

OK off the soap box......

Im pretty much with you on Reed, though he does have a magic touch with QB's. He takes them and makes it work and makes them look good, but when they play for others they dont seem to do it as well.....

I also think your going to be surprised with Flynn, assuming you get some receivers that can 1, get open, create separation or something, and 2, actually catch the ball without it having to be in the wide open with noone near them.

I actually think that was Palmer's undoing, he was trying to force way to much with basically no help from his receivers and with a weak O line he didnt have time to find the best option.
