If you were in the muscle car hobby in the '80s and '90s, you saw this all the time if you were parts hunting at junk yards.
I saw a 1969 Buick California GS (there's a name for you car buffs- not a model that just had Cali emissions equipment, a rare variant of the GS) in a junkyard. Used to store hubcaps. When all the hubcaps were sold, they crushed it. that was around '98. I saw Satellites, Chevelles, 442s, a slew of '70s Trans Ams, Fairlane 500s, A Spoiler II, almost anything, you name it. Crunch.
