I think GM would need to make cars that people can afford to buy in recessions like these and that will last long. People don't want to buy cars that are expensive, hard to fix, and break down a lot.

And then on the side they should make cars like the CAMARO!

That way, they could build cars that people like and need, but not go into bankruptcy.

But I guess everything is easier said than done.

1. Recessions are temporary
2. Cadillac has no business in the affordable mainstream family sedan market - that is what Chevy is for. Cadillac is the luxury brand. And yes people do want to buy cars that are expensive - see the success of BMW, Mercedes, et al.
