And if i remember the eco's specs correctly, it has a range of about 500 miles? so this will get you 200 more miles on one tank. I like a good turbo diesel (especially once you start tuning one), but I understand not everyone does. I think Chevy has done more than enough to compete with VW though.

200 is a WAY high estimate, if it was a 10 gallon tank, to make it simpler, the difference in a tamk would just be 40 miles, it would take a LONG time to make up the difference that way. ALso, if you give up a few features a Jetta TDI starts around 2k cheaper than the Cruze Diesel.
