Recently, I have signed a service agreement to attend Officer Candidate School, and I will be detaching from NPTU Charleston next week.

I will be unavailable upon my arrival to OCS in Newport, Rhode Island. Becoming a member of the commissioned ranks is—I know, it's hard to believe—more important than smashing trolls for the following 3 months.
The best part is losing the 13 freaking buttons on my dress blue pants.

No pair of pants should have 13 buttons.
My new job will be to become a flight officer, which requires me to learn how to fly, navigate, and do other cool things with the Navy's awesome aircraft. It's going to be awesome.
Wish me luck, and feel free to share any of your own experiences. Discuss.
