As Gretchen said earlier...420HP 430 TQ is not pushing it in the LF3. Hell, it can go well past that easily. We see it all the time with forced induction on the LFX which is a fairly tough engine, but has a couple weak points you have to watch out for once you start climbing near the 500 bhp range. The LF3 is stronger so I'm sure it could handle 500 without much issue.

with that being said.... i have my 3.5 V6 EcoBoost cranked up to about 500 HP / 500 TQ and there is still a lot of room left in the motor as some of the SHO guys are pushing their a lot more than me! Talked to a guy who worked on the prototype EcoBoost Flex.. mentioned they had it cranked up to about 700 HP but started spitting out pieces of the tranny shortly after that...
