I’m a big GSP fan and was kind of shocked from his performance in this fight. I believe if that same fight took place with Condit, Hendricks, or Ellenberger in the ring that GSP would had lost his belt. To me it appeared that Diaz was frustrated and wasn’t going all in, but was still able to stuff a good amount of GSP’s takedowns.

There is a guy I work with that states that same fact all the time and I tell him my point of view is that when you have the belt you don’t need to take any unnecessary risk. The challenger should be the one stepping into the ring with the attitude that their putting it all out there. This is their chance to be champion and they should do everything they can to seize the opportunity.

Once GSP loses the belt and has to work his way back to the top, do I expected to see him finish fights. Until then I'm good with him playing it safe to remain champion. He earned it, but let me finish by saying I think his next few fights are going to be the toughest he has had in a while.
